AR500 is a medium-carbon steel alloy tempered and designed to be resistant to high-impact stresses, even at extremely low temperatures. This leads to less downtime and can extend the life of equipment by reducing erosion and wear. With a high BHN, AR500 steel is commonly used for targets, armored applications and truck plows and in mining.
