An air-hardening tool steel, S7 is a grade suitable for both cold and hot work service. With a relatively low carbon concentration compared to D2 and A2 steels and significantly less chromium, S7 features excellent impact resistance and good resistance to softening at high temperatures. S7 is often used in bull riveters, chisels, concrete breakers and more.
