H13 is a hot-work tool steel widely used in hot and cold work tooling applications. With 5% chromium, H13 is easy to machine, and its unique combination of toughness and fatigue resistance make it more widely used than any other tool steel in tooling applications. H13 is widely used for aluminum and zinc casting dies, as well as for aluminum extrusion, aluminum die casting and press tooling.
