A516 Grade 70 plate is also known as A516-70. A medium-carbon alloy containing manganese, phosphorus, sulfur and silicon, A516-70 offers the optimal combination of strength, weldability and notch toughness. Typically found in moderate-and lower-temperature applications, this grade is the standard specification for making pressure vessels such as oil tanks.
